Support our industry’s passion to make sure consumers know they are choosing American Beef! A simple offsite, phone and records verification is all that is needed to sell your beef into the supply chain as proudly Verified Born in The USA!
 

Download our “Request for Service” Form to start the process and for less than a large bottle of Draxxin, our friendly Office Manager will call and walk you through the initial steps to get verified for SAV and Verified Born in The USA through a simple records and phone verification with an LV Offsite Verifier! After your phone and records verification, a LV Level II Reviewer will review the information and when approved, will send you the approval documents you need to sell and send with your calves, which will follow them through the supply chain – letting everyone, hopefully all the way to the retail counter, know that your calves are proudly Verified Born in The USA

​Participation in the “Verified Born in The USA” program is easy and designed with producers in mind. To qualify:

  • Producer must be an American beef producer

  • Enrollment through the Legacy Verified Source and Age Verification (SAV) Program

  • Completion of a Legacy Verified Application for Service

  • Submission of Calving Records and Head Count Records

  • Completion of a brief verification phone call (typically 15 minutes)

  • Review and approval by a Legacy Verified Level II Reviewer

Add on Non-Hormone Treated Cattle Program

Voluntary Country of Origin Labeling (VCOOL) Went into Effect January 1, 2026!

The new rule requires that to use the "Product of USA" or "Made in the USA" labels, meat, poultry, and egg products must be derived from animals born, raised, slaughtered, and processed exclusively within the U.S. This claim remains voluntary but requires supporting documentation. For multi-ingredient products, most ingredients must also be of domestic origin.

    IT IS EASY TO PARTICIPATE! (NO ONSITE VISIT NEEDED)

    1. Complete a quick and easy online “Request for Service” right on our website.​

    2. Someone in the office will contact you to collect the required records – Calving Records and Head Count.

    3.   A FRIENDLY LV Verifier will call you to go over the information - Most calls take only 15 minutes!

    4.  An LV Level II Reviewer will review the information and you will receive an LV Ranch Certificate of Approval verifying your calves are approved for Source and Age (SAV) and "Verified Born in The USA.” Use this for marketing your calves and send it with your calves when you ship so the claims follow them through the supply chain!​

    EIDs are not necessarily required.

Ready to get started?

  1. Completed and signed application (fill out online below).

  2. Completed and signed contract.

  3. Calving Records - Please make sure the records include the month/day/year for the calving group(s) you are trying to certify. (Photocopies of calving records are sufficient.)

  4. Head Count Support - Any records to help the Legacy Verified auditor to verify the number of calves you are trying to verify. Examples: Individual Calving Records, Vaccine Records with doses purchased, Cow/Calf Inventory Records, Branding Tally, Preg Check Records, etc.

*Please keep in mind that Legacy Verified cannot assign an arbitrary calving date for age verification. The first calf born must be documented and all calves in that calving group will be assigned the birthdate of the oldest calf born.

** If older calves need to be excluded from the group, those calves will need to be identified in a way so that they can be easily sorted and removed from the approved group at the time of shipping.

The application below covers Source and Age (SAV) and Verified Born in the USA ranches only. Please fill out this application in its entirety.
