Last week some four weight cattle out of Unity, Oregon sold for $400/cwt. That's gotta be a record!
Corbitt Wall of Feeder Flash reported the sale and noted that while the sale was strong in general, and these were good quality cattle, the reason they were SO valuable was that they were certified NHTC and Natural along with several other value-added programs.
So, party like it's 2014 (last time we had prices that were close to this good), but remember - you can make even more if you have Process Verification on your cattle! This proves our point.
