Steve has a ranch background and a BS in Agricultural Economics (Farm and Ranch Management from New Mexico State University. After a Career as a U.S Navy pilot, He applied his experience to the Cattle Industry at the Cattlemen’s Beef Board as the Director of Collections Compliance. In this position, he periodically audited 45 state beef councils and a variety of individual businesses for compliance with the Federal Beef Promotion and Research Act. Additionally, he trained State Beef Council compliance and auditing personnel. He screened contracts, marketing plans, and research proposals for compliance with federal regulations.

A successful program, project, and staff manager with over thirty-five years of experience working with commercial product development, civilian and military organizations, state and national government agencies, associations, and marketing entities in operational and compliance activities.

Steve maintains close ties to the cattle industry through family and friends and currently lives in Broomfield, Colorado, He’s been married to Karen for 38 years and has two sons and two grandchildren.
